
How to work with annotations
OnTimeProof provides the possibility to work with annotation tools to mark up PDF documents.
Annotations support lets you make revisions on screen right over your document using a set of annotation
tools such as electronic sticky notes,
pictures, boxes, attached files, colors and more that are tied to the PDF document and can be shared with other users.
Annotation tools are available in Adobe Acrobat 5.0 (not Acrobat Reader) and later versions.

After you've received the e-mail about your job update you can start annotating it on the server.
Open the Jobs panel in your OTP system

Enter the number of your job and
press the GO button

The window Job View opens with your job information.
Click on the job's thumbnail to examine the job's PDF file

Click the Annotations button to start
adding your comments to the job

The PDF file opens in Acrobat with the annotations toolbar. Array of annotations tools include colors, highlights,
boxes of different shapes, notes, hand-drawn lines to emphasize the parts of the page that needs changes.
Acrobat marks all your annotations with your login name and anybody can then view them in arbitrary order using full
power of the Acrobat. All necessary guidelines
about working with Adobe Acrobat annotations is available in the Acrobat Help files and from the web site
(open the document and go to Index/ Comment tools,
Collaborating online, Comment preferences, Notes Tool).

When you've finished entering your comments to the job press the toolbar button
Upload and Download Comments, and they will be saved together with your job.
To annotate the PDF file with your clear identity please define your
name or pseudonim for that.
Open your Acrobat application and select the menu
Edit / Preferences / General
In the item Identity enter the desired information about yourself as
shown in the picture.
In the item Comments Uncheck "Always Use identity for Author" as shown
in the screenshot.
Save your settings.
Next time when you would annotate a job Acrobat will mark your notes
with this information.
