OTP Integration with Delta Rip
Let's consider the workflow where OTP server is connected to the Delta RIP and follow in brief
the configuration of both parts.
Export Directory mechanism in the Delta RIP allows customers to proof their jobs before final output to
printing devices.
Every Export Directory can be supplied with its own plug-in. Lucid Dream flow products
are designed in such a way that they can serve are Delta Export plug-ins or work independently.
The set of
OTP applications that can be integrated with the Delta RIP as Export plug-ins convert Delta list format to
a variety of other formats widely used for proofing and correction of the temporary job's output
(e.g. PDF, JPEG). These temporary files then are delivered to the OTP remote server where they are saved
to a database and can be easily accessed for proofing and correction.
OTP server provides a full set of
tools for storing and editing the jobs' data and necessary control information.
Configuration of the RIPserver (OTP.exe)
It connects to the remote OTP server and exchanges data
files with its database.
It starts various conversion applications that generate jobs'
files in formats easy for viewing and proofing.
To configure the remote OTP server connection you have to enter its Web-site parameters and the login
and password of the Administrator who has the permissions to use OTP. The Administrator should have
necessary rights to be able to upload the jobs data. There are two levels of such permissions:
- Administrator has the rights to upload files only to the jobs that had been
created by himself (own jobs);
- Administrator has the rights to upload files to all jobs in OTP system.
