The following mechanisms are used in OTP system to serve as a virtual bridge between the RIP-s
(such as Delta, Harlequin and Creo-Scitex) and the remote OTP server to provide a team of pre-press
professionals with tools for storing, viewing and correction of their jobs and speed up the proofing
production cycle.
1. Utility
RIPserver is implemented to be used as a "batch file" in Delta Rip queue.
Delta Rip calls it after outputting the Delta list. OTP.exe should be previously configured by the operator
to run the specified number of Lucid Dream's flow applications that convert Delta lists to other formats,
such as JPEG and PDF. Then OTP.exe uploads converted files to the remote OTP server.
2. Folder Watcher
Delta's output directory can be configured as a hot folder for the FW application.
When Delta outputs the job the FW picks up the Delta list files and processes them as configured.
FW can run OTP.exe with the full set of the conversion processors and upload PDF and JPEG images.
